Burglaries

The Langlade County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating numerous burglaries to taverns.  Below are photographs of the suspects from some of these burglaries.  Perpetrators are gaining entry by using what appears to be a small crow bar and are targeting cash and televisions.  These burglaries have been occurring for approximately the past eight months and include taverns in the City of Antigo, Town of Wolf River, Town of Neva, Town of Antigo and Town of Ainsworth.  Based on photographs and evidence at the scenes, investigators believe that there are possibly three perpetrators for each incident.  If you happen to recognize people from these photographs or have information regarding this criminal activity contact the Langlade County Crime Stoppers at 715.627.6245(NAIL).  A cash reward will be given for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of suspects.  You may remain completely anonymous.

Sexual Assault

On Saturday, October 14, 2006 at approximately 6:30 a.m. the Langlade County Sheriff's Department received a call of a severely injured young woman who arrived at a home at the intersection of County Rd F and Parkway Rd in the town of Antigo.  She had been brutally assaulted both physically and sexually.  It is believed that she had been dropped/(thrown or pushed out of?) a vehicle a short distance away.  The victim had been at several bars in the city of Antigo the night before and was seen leaving one of them at approximately 12:30 a.m.  Little if known who she may have been with after that time.  If you have any information regarding any of these crimes you can call the Sheriff's Department at 715-627-6411, or call the Crime Stoppers number at 715-627-NAIL(6245).  Remember, crime does not pay, but Crime Stoppers does.

MISSING ENDANGERED PERSON

Kayla M. Berg

Female, white; Date of Birth: 08/29/1993

Height: 5’02”  Weight: 108 lbs.

Hair: Brown   Eyes:  Brown

 

Kayla has laparoscopic scars on her abdomen, small chicken pox

 scars on her right cheek/nose.  Kayla has pierced ears and navel.

 

On 08/17/09 Kayla berg was reported missing at the Antigo Police Department.  Kayla Berg has been missing since 08/11/09.

 

Information received is Kayla Berg was dropped off at her ex-boyfriend’s home on STH 52, Wausau, WI.  The home on STH 52 was vacant and condemned at the time when Kayla was dropped off at the home.

 

Kayla has not been seen or heard from since.

 

The Antigo Police Department is investigating this incident and a reward, through Crime Stoppers, may be awarded to any person with information leading to Kayla being located.

Theft from a local business:

The City of Antigo Police Department is investigating a recent theft from a local business.  Between January 9th and 12th of 2010 the Antigo Yamaha store has had two snowmobiles stolen from its lot.  One of the snowmobiles was a 2009 Polaris 800 cc, black in color with red graphics on it.  This snowmobile has a value of $8,500.  The second one stolen belonged to a customer that had it at Antigo Yamaha for repairs.  This sled is a 2001 Polaris Edge X snowmobile with license number S1030EA.  The Antigo Police Department is investigating these crimes and a reward, through Crime Stoppers, will be awarded to any person with information leading to an arrest for these crimes.

Stolen Vehicles

Since the start of August 2006, the Antigo Police Department has received several reports of vehicles being stolen.  While most of these vehicles have been recovered, the Police Department needs your help in finding the responsible individuals.  If you have any information regarding any of these crimes you can call the Police Department at 715-627-6411, or call the Crime Stoppers number at 715-627-NAIL (6245).  Remember, Crime does not pay, but Crime Stoppers does.

The following is a list of vehicles:

1) City of Antigo 08-15-07, Dodge Neon from 600 Block of Dorr St.  Ignition punched.

    

         On 08-17-06 vehicle recovered behind business

         located on 200 Block of S. Dorr St.  Vehicle was set

         on fire and destroyed during daylight hours.

 

2) City of Antigo 09-11-06, Dodge Neon from 600 Block of Dorr St.  Ignition damaged.

 

          Vehicle recovered in 200 Block of Edison St.

 

3)  11-30-06 Stolen vehicle from Green Bay, WI.

 

          Vehicle was located in City of Antigo at West Elementary School. 

          Vehicle was a Plymouth Breeze. Ignition was punched. 

 

4)  City of Antigo 11-13-06,  Chrysler Cirrus stolen from 1000 Block of 5th Ave.   

 

          Vehicle recovered in Wausau on 11-27-06. 

          Ignition was punched.
